Complete P90X Workout Schedule
The great P90X debate! Which P90X schedule should you follow to change your body, health and fitness. There is the Classic P90X , Lean P90X, and the Doubles P90X schedule. Which one will change your body? Ultimately you have to decide which is the right P90X workout schedule for you! Let me give you all the information you need to decide on the right one for you.
Classic P90X Schedule
This P90X workout schedule is perfect for those that want to build muscle. If your goal is to get shredded, and build some serious muscle, the Classic P90X workout schedule is exactly what you wan to be following. Classic P90X was not created to lose weight, but was more focused on helping you build muscle all over your body. That said, you will definitely lose inches and weight while doing the classic P90X .
The Classic P90X workout schedule has much more weight lifting than the Lean P90X Workout Schedule, and less cardio than doing the Doubles P90X schedule. However, I sometimes get clients that will ask me, “Should i go with the Classic P90X schedule or the Doubles schedule.” This nice thing is you have a whole three weeks to decide. Why? Because the Classic P90X Schedule and the Doubles P90X Schedule are identical for the first three weeks, so you don't have to chose between Classic and Doubles P90X until you start your fourth week.
I will tell you that Classic P90X Schedule is by far my favorite because it incorporates ll the elements you need to lose weight, and gain muscle mass. With Classic P90X you get resistance training with weights and resistance bands, which will cause your muscle growth to EXPLODE. Now the key to be able to recover from these kinds of workouts is proper nutrition, which is why Beachbody created Shakeology, to give you the right greens, nutrients, and protein you are going to need to recover and build muscle.

Lean P90X Schedule
The Lean P90X schedule is designed to get you lean and mean! You won't be doing the high intensity plyometrics workouts. Instead, Tony will focus you on Cardio X and a P90X schedule that will get you lean! I find Cardio X to be one of the least intense workouts in the series, but it does focus a lot less on muscle building so it makes sense if your goal is to not add muscle. This is why more Cardio X was added to the lean P90X Schedule. You are getting rid of the main muscle workouts, like chest and back, or chest triceps shoulders depending on which phase of the P90X workout program you are in. Ultimately the lean P90X Schedule is designed to minimize bulking.
Who is the Lean P90X Schedule for? For those that want to lean out and shape the body.

Doubles P90X Schedule
The Doubles P90X schedule is intended to speed up weight loss and increase their cardiovascular performance by adding an extra workout of Cardio X three to four times a week. I always recommend P90X first timers stay away from the Doubles P90X schedule for a number of reasons. Many people think they will get better results with Doubles, but the reality is that most people will get worse results and have a higher tenancy to quit because they don't follow a plan that will allow them to have the energy and recovery to do the workout!
If you are going to take on the Doubles P90X schedule, you need to make sure that you give your body the tools it needs to recover! You will definitely want to get your hands on some P90X Recovery formula, and will absolutely need Shakeology. You also need to drink a ton of water or you are going to be really sore and you won't be able to keep up with the workout schedule. To find out how much water you need to drink, just take your body weight, cut it in half, and that's how many ounces of water you should be drinking a day minimum. You are also going to need a ton of sleep on the doubles P90X schedule. If you aren't getting at least 8 hours of sleep on this schedule, you are going to get injured. I repeat, with the doubles P90X schedule, you must get 8 hours of sleep!
Who is the Doubles P90X Schedule for? For those that are in great shape, probably have done P90X before, and looking to do round 2 of P90X.
